Was really surprised with this one. I'm a long time fan of Star Trek, and with that it would take a tremendous amount of effort to be put into a game to make it enjoyable for me considering my fandom. The inclusion of past, present and future timelines; characters, events, resolutions, etc., really are what captures my intrigue. Allowing the gamer to enter into these past events and manipulate them to bring about future changes is genius.
Also, allowing one more characters to exist within the same timelines within this multiverse blows my mind as to the infinite possibilities made available to both the gamer in the way of the many things there are to do or tasks to complete, and the developer in the way of possibilities for future enhancements or what have you. Excellent job on this one fellas. I boldly go where no one has gone before!!!

Excellent job on this one fellas. I boldly go where no one has gone before!!! Very good game. Like all the games it's hard to compete with paying players in the events. If you play long enough though you'll build up a reasonable force to be able to start competing.
Wish the game had better stats/info in game instead of having to look at the wiki to maximize results. Example of this is if you're trying to farm a specific item to upgrade a crew member it says in game the drop rate for this item on this mission is 5 dots out of 5. To me that means it's going to drop ever time you do it.
Then you do the mission 3-5 times before it drops. Very misleading and a waste of your game energy. This is a great game.
Love the Trek theme. So far the missions are well suited for a player to notry and keep a well rounded group of characters instead of overpowering a very small set to dominate the game. I took away one star from my rating because of the load time between tapping the game icon and actual start of game play (it takes about three minutes to actually start).
One other small annoyance is all of the text seems to be geared toward larger screens/tablet devices as they are very hard to read on my smaller device. Otherwise, this is a top-notch game. Edit: loads times have drastically improved.
However, now the game will just bail out after you press the play button about half the time. Great game and really impressed! It would be nice if You could see more of what's going on as opposed to just dragging characters into mission slots so I would rate it 4 stars since it could use a little more action but aside from that, I'm very pleased with how easy it is to delve deep into the game and lose track of time and decision making is a bonus. I tried searching for games where you get to choose your own actions and/responses and all I kept getting were interactive novels and mostly girlie games. This game really makes you feel like a part of the starfleet for the most part so by far it's pretty impressive. I rate it 4 stars.

Graphics and gameplay take me back to 1998.I starting playing games on the Coleco Adam Computer in 1979 however so I don't mind a bit about that. It is very fun. I simply cannot stop playing.
It is a blast! Kinda takes me back to the good days.I haven't spent a dime yet and don't think I will have too. Learn how to mine and you won't have to either.👌 I very seldom give a game 5 stars. I can't give this game 5 either. But, 4 stars from me. Give it a try you will for sure have lots of fun.👍 More. First I'll say I'm no trek fan, movies, tv, or otherwise.
Seen this was F2P and after some friendly nagging I decided to give it a go. I must say I'm glad I did. It has plenty to see and do, a fairly cool story, and from what I've seen, haven't scratched the surface of the available content of the PC version. I was disappointed with the lack of crafting and customization until I found out that theree is more coming.
The cash shop was a turn off at first as I hate pay to win games but then I figured out you can convert dillithium to zen. All in all, this is a fantastic game even for non fans. It does have it's bugs and glitches but I've never played a MMO that doesn't. This MMO is a prime example of a great game, with poor execution once released! I'm not condeming the game or its premise, but i'm sure if ur a fan and have or your still playing the game via pc; this is probably a great game!
The problem comes in, when your a casual fan of star trek or MMOs: I find it too confusing and laborious to try and learn the different nuances of the game. Makes me hesitant to want to pay for the very things i'm sure would make the learning required to play and enjoy the game easier. This doesn't disqualify it from being fun and playable, but a few tweeks to ease the learning curve would boost its ratings and the number of satisfied players; FANS or NOT.! The game is just awesome and I'm not even a fan of most MMO's. For the most part it is single player, there is few campaign missions that invove other players. You never have to wait in line to perform objectives even when others are intergrated into your current mission.

You get a new ship with a choice of what type it is every 10 levels untill 50. The story changes slightly here and there with different ways to solve mission task based on your class. You have multiple currencies in-game which allow for different customizations. It's free, and you can really play the game without ever spending a dime. I say, however, that most games cost between 70 and 120 dollars so consider spending about the same for aesthetic upgrades.

You dont have to and the game never fails to let you down. For those who complain about real world money items, should go to work and work for free because afterall the makers of STO have created a great game, and they desrve to get paid for a job well done! I love how involving everything is!! The fact that we can choose Federation, Klingon, or Romulans (which lets us side with Starfleet or KDF after tutorial) is awesome!!!!

However, i dont like how we cant delete costumes for our characters and there are very few clothing options for off-duty outfits as well as color syncing glitches for certain pieces of outfits for bridge officers. Other than the outfit issues everything is great!! Ground and space combat is epic, storylines keep me guessing at certain points while other points i know exactly what is about to happen, and the main characters are made better than they already are with amazing voice acting like Tovan Khev i think is voiced by the guy who play Poe Dameron in Star Wars The Force Awakens. Wonderful game that is well-deserving of 5 stars!!!!
